It is hoped that the next Police Forum will take place in Brinsworth to enable the public to address concern over issues raised in the community.
Cllr Wright reported that the return of the Community Constables, after the year trial with the POPS team, would, it is hoped, enable the police to be present at Parish Council Meetings. A letter is to be written requesting police presence at the next meeting.
Planning Permission has been put forward for floodlighting at the Firth Rixson Aurora Sports ground. It was proposed that a letter be sent for the Ward Councillors to accompany the planners when they inspect the ground.

The Parish Council has been sent a request to ask our residents if anyone would be interested in writing a book!!
The European Library has published a series of books "...in old picture postcards", which have been published in several European countries. As the title suggests the book will contain old photos of Brinsworth and the publishers hope to find someone with the knowledge and time to fill in the gaps of information relating to the changes which have taken place in the area. If you are interested please get in touch with the Clerk of the Parish Council.
A letter has been received from a resident complaining about the litter and broken glass which is scattered about the area at the top of the recreation ground and the shopping area. The Parish Council confirmed that a concerted effort is to be made to clear up the rubbish and glass in the area for which they are responsible, the field. Any litter and glass found in the streets is the responsibility of the Borough Council, although the Parish Council do notify the Borough about areas of concern.
Cllr Buckley reported that the Youth Shelters are now in the process of being erected.
