Whitehill Juniors

The Friends of Whitehill 5th Annual Summer Fayre will take place on 30th June at the school. The Fayre will be opened by the Mayor and Mayoress elect, Cllr and Mrs Reg Littleboy at 1pm

From 1pm till 4pm the fun is non-stop with Radio Nightingale, side stalls, matball, football, facepainting, bouncy castle, raffle, brass band, police dogs, a fire engine and local craft stalls there is definitely something for every age group. Why not come along and join us, you will be very welcome.

Howarth J&I

On 5th June Classes 6 and 7 are to visit Filey for the day.

A disco will be held after school for the children on June 12th.

Ten Y6 children are going on a visit to Kelham Island on Wednesday, 13th June to enjoy a Design and Technology day organised by Sheffield University.

Two classes (1 and 3) are to visit Chatsworth in the week commencing 18th June as part of their topic work.

Classes 4 and 5 are looking forward to their visit to the Magna Project on 20th June.

Y6 children are taking part in the Spirit Challenge at Herringthorpe Leisure Centre on 26th June.

Keep 26th June free in your diaries for the Summer Fayre. All the usual stalls will be there and something for everyone, so come along and enjoy the fun, everyone welcome.

Dates for your diary in July are 16th - Parents Evening, 23rd - Sports Day, 24th - Y6 Leavers Assembly.

Whitehill Infants

Classes 4 and 5 visited Get Sorted Recording Studio in Rotherham as part of topic work.

Guy Merchant, Senior Lecturer in English has been in school to help with writing development.

The Better Reading Partnership Scheme has successfully established within the school.

Friends of Whitehill organised a very successful Family Disco and Quiz night at the Avesta on Friday, 4th May.

Manor Infants

Y1 children are to visit Yorkshire Sculpture Park during June as part of their topic work.

The new reception children and the new nursery children are all settling in to school life well.

The school is looking forward to the Book Fair, which will take place in June.

SATs have been taking place in the school recently as were Base Line assessments in the nursery.
